Guided Fishing Trips

I love and hate being a guide.  Clients come with preconceived expectations.  They want to experience lake fishing, figure out how to fish Bear Lake or catch something for dinner. There is nothing like seeing a angler catch their first or biggest fish and nothing more disheartening that fishing all day, not getting a bite and seeing disappointment in their eyes. As old fishermen say, "That's why they call it fishing and not catching".

You may be out for the experience, to catch dinner or learn how to fish the lake.  I assure you that I will do my best to get you into a fish. That means constantly changing lures and areas.  I may troll deep or shallow depending on where I see fish.  We may even jig. Unfortunately there are no guarantees of success.  I will be engaged with you all the time answering your questions, showing you techniques and sharing my knowledge of Bear Lake. I will make sure we have a good time.

SAFETY IS MY FIRST PRIORITY.  THE CAPTAIN WILL DECIDE, BASED ON WEATHER CONDITIONS AND EXPERIENCE, WHETHER TO GO OUT OR WHEN TO RETURN.

There are a lot of expenses and time are associated with fishing. Boat maintenance and fuel, tackle and lures, pre-fishing, and current fishing info.  We fish on a 21' CustomWeld welded aluminum jet boat. It is safe, has a covered cab and seats and designed for fishing.

Pricing is based on the number of rods fishing. There is a minimum of two rods and a maximum of four. I prefer to fishing two rods so I can focus on what the rod is doing. With more than two, I need to hire a deck hand to assist.  I allow up to six people in the boat so if you want to trade off rods that is fine.

Each rod is $150.00 for a four hour trip.  I provide all the gear.  Fishermen need to bring licenses, appropriate clothing, sunscreen, snacks, drinks, etc.

Reservations are required a minimum of 7 days days before the trip.  No money is required upfront and payment can is made at the end of the trip.  Call Bryce at 435.994.1649 or email me at cisco@cut.net. You are welcome to call my cell anything before 9:00 pm for questions, updates, lake conditions etc.  Check out the Blog my current activities.
